Saldanha Bay Municipality would like to inform consumers that the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) released a new online service which allows motor vehicle owners to download a motor vehicle licence renewal/notice online.
Motor vehicle owners are encouraged to make use of the following alternative ways to download their motor vehicle renewals / notices.
SMS / Email notifications
From Thursday, 01 October 2020 onwards RTMC will send a SMS or an email to every motor vehicle owner informing them when their motor vehicle licence will expire.
An SMS or email will be sent on the 1st of every month to all motor vehicle owners whose vehicle licences will expire at the end of that month. For example, on 1 February 2021 the RTMC will send a SMS to all motor vehicle owners whose licences will expire on 28 February 2021.
In order to receive the SMS or email notification, motor vehicle owners are encouraged to register on the NaTIS Online Services. Click on the link: www.online.natis.gov.za to register your profile.
The email notification is an electronic version of the Motor Vehicle Licence Renewal (MVL2 notice) which can be downloaded and printed, if need be, and presented to the cashier at the Traffic Centre in order to renew the motor vehicle licence concerned.
The RTMC will not send a follow-up SMS.
No SMS or email will be sent to a motor vehicle owner if the vehicle licence has already expired.
The SMS below can be presented to renew the motor vehicle licence concerned.

Recording a change of address
If a vehicle owner wishes to submit a change of address as per regulation 32A, a Notification of change form (NCP form) must be completed. The NCP form together with the proof of address, such as a utility account or an affidavit can then be filed as required.
