NOTICE WITH REGARDS TO PROCLAIMED SIU PROBE INTO SBM BUSINESS
Saldanha Bay Municipality is aware of Proclamation R39 of 2020 published in the Government Gazette of 24 December 2020. The gazette indicates that the investigation is in relation to the contracting for security services by or on behalf of the Municipality, in terms of bid number SBM 45/17/18, and payments made in respect thereof.
The Municipality has not received any formal communication from the Special Investigations Unit. Upon receipt of official communication or brief from the Unit, the Municipality will fully cooperate with them and provide all information required. Saldanha Bay Municipality takes pride in its clean and transparent administration and is keen to use the opportunity to proof such to the SIU and the public. The Municipality herewith ensures its cooperation and continued effective, efficient and economical services to the local community.
The Municipality is committed to keep the public informed about the progress and outcome of the said investigation.
