SUBSIDY (FLISP) / GAP HOUSING PROJECT

First time buyers and middle-income individuals face many challenges and barriers when buying a house and entering the property market. These challenges include affordability, credit worthiness and the supply of an affordable house. The FLISP programme intends to provide qualifying applicants, who secure a mortgage loan with a financial institution, with a once-off subsidy towards their bond.

The delivery of housing opportunities in a municipality is a national and provincial government function. The municipality acts as an agent on behalf of the provincial department. In fulfilling this duty, Saldanha Bay Municipality is planning to implement a GAP housing project in the municipality and would like to invite you to register your interest in such a project by completing and submitting a survey/form to the municipality. This information will be used when a project is rolled out as the prospective individuals to be considered for such a project.

Completed forms can be submitted via email to Housing@sbm.gov.za or be submitted to your local municipal office in the respective towns.

This initiative is only for households earning between R3 501 – R22 000 per month. Bond application processes will be done at a later stage.
